Basic Qualifications

Associate’s degree in related discipline or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, applicants must be a “U.S. Person” as defined by EAR and ITAR, including U.S. Citizens and U.S. Permanent Residents.

An experienced engineering lab technician is being sought to work with the latest high-tech secure surveillance and broadcast communications systems.
We’re looking for an all-rounder that that can work in a small team of Rockstar quality engineers.

Janteq designs and builds High Definition audio/video digital microwave transmitter and receiver systems for Government Federal Security applications, along with the Broadcast industry.

Skills required:

  • Supports engineering activities spanning electrical engineering, RF, mechanics and software
  • Supervision and organization of a busy test lab, including management of engineering spares and components
  • Interprets and works from engineering drawings, diagrams and schematics, and ability to work from verbal instructions
  • Help with board programming, testing, modification, experimental design circuitry, and setup of specialized test equipment
  • Assembly of prototype electromechanical systems in small build quantities, giving feedback within engineering
  • Strong hands-on skills including prototyping and soldering (expert SMD) and the use of basic electronic test equipment such as multimeters
  • Construction of cables and connectors including RF cables
  • Helps designs and construct basic tooling and fixtures to accomplish unique tasks
  • Supports Operations with manufacturing surges
  • May prepare reports, documentation/specifications on occasion
  • Good computer and test equipment knowledge
  • The candidate must be an excellent communicator, be able to multitask, and work well on collaborative designs as a key member in a small team

Target salary range:

USD $28.89/Hr. – USD $31.01/Hr.
