The Bondi Aviation Transmitter is based on the standard Bondi TwinTX that uses COFDM modulation and SD/HD MPEG-4 encoding. SD/HD MPEG-2 is optional. It follows DVB-T standards with bandwidths of 6, 7 & 8 MHz, the radio can be offered with the narrow band options of 1.25, 2.5 & 5MHz. This new line of transmitters can be offered in either the L, S or X bands. The transmitter’s TwinTX outputs can be set for one or two outputs of high, medium or low power 1, 2.5 or 5 Watts.

The main body can be housed in a remote avionics bay and operated using the Remote handheld display that features a 1.9” color display that provides confidence video or access to the system menu. Menu navigation is through the Remote’s four tactile buttons that offer a user or administrative level access with Pin. An additional RS 232/485 port is available to interface to other manufacturer’s Aircraft control systems, such as Troll inc. Input video can be composite, Y/C, component or SD/HD SDI. Two channels of audio with Mic/Line inputs are provided along with User data and telemetry.
